UPDATES & CURRENT EVENTS

WGB turned into a holiday wonderland for our annual Santa's Workshop. Your donations and helping hands brought the spirit of Christmas to nearly 700 kids this year! It was an absolute joy seeing moms choose the perfect gifts for their kids, and we can only imagine their excitement when they open them up on Christmas morning!

Moms were also able to shop for free clothing, shoes, and accessories in our boutique, each accompanied by their own personal volunteer elf. They ended their visits with picking out wrapping paper and getting a surprise gift of their own! Between the smiles, hugs, and happy tears, it was an uplifting day for sure!

We’re thrilled to recognize Dream Finders Homes for their incredible generosity in sponsoring Santa’s Bike Shop once again. This year, they truly went above and beyond - rallying their employees and trade partners to donate an astounding 600 bikes!

Thanks to their commitment, hundreds of local children will experience the joy of receiving a brand-new bike this holiday season -creating memories that will last a lifetime. Dream Finders Homes continues to set the standard for community giving, and we are so grateful for their support in making the holidays brighter for so many families.

Kids Giving Back: A Night of Joy and Generosity!

Our annual Kids Giving Back event was a heartwarming celebration of the holiday spirit! Families came together for an evening filled with laughter, creativity, and compassion - complete with festive games, holiday crafts, cookie decorating, snack-packing for those in need, toy donations, and even magical moments with Santa himself.

Thanks to the incredible participation of our community, children not only had fun but also learned the true meaning of giving - making this holiday season brighter for countless families.

Thanks to you, we were able to exceed our fundraising goals, helping to set us up to face the challenges of 2026 and continue offering support and hope to those in our community. A Heartfelt Thank You to the Dulles Young Men’s Service League

Women Giving Back is deeply grateful to the Dulles Young Men’s Service League for their generous partnership and meaningful support this holiday season. The mothers and sons of the Dulles chapter dedicated their time and talents to make a lasting impact on the families we serve.

Their volunteers designed and built a custom festive backdrop for our Kids Giving Back and Santa’s Workshop events, created 50 no-sew fleece blankets for our Diaper Pantry clients, and assembled 200 self-care gift bags for mothers shopping at our holiday event. In addition, the Dulles YMSL chapter organized a toy drive that collected hundreds of toys and gift cards, helping ensure the success of our Santa’s Workshop.

In total, they contributed more than 300 volunteer hours—sorting toys, setting up our toy store, and supporting multiple holiday initiatives. Their craftsmanship and dedication helped create a warm, welcoming environment and brought joy to the families who participated.

Thank you, Dulles YMSL, for your generosity and commitment to service. Your partnership demonstrates what is possible when a community comes together with purpose to support one another.

We had a remarkable showing of elves and workshop assistants including groups from Apple Federal Credit Union, Equinix, Intercoastal Mortgage, Junior League of Northern Virginia, NextMark Credit Union, Stone Bridge High School Girls Basketball, Women in the Building Industry, and of course dedicated WGB regulars.
