We had a blast at our annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta for a Cause, recognizing all of YOU as key supporters while raising funds and awareness for our mission of empowering families to flourish.
Congratulations again to our Volunteer of the Year awardees, and thank you once more to our event sponsors, top-tier vendors, and auction donors for contributing to our most successful Fiesta yet!

WGB is honored to be one of 48 local nonprofits selected for grant funding by 100WomenStrong this year. With their generous contribution we are one step closer to realizing our vision of expanded and enriched programming for the families we serve.
This year's award presentation was extra special for WGB coming from our Opening Doors campaign co-chair Carol Barbe. Carol is a true philanthropist in every sense of the word, with involvement in numerous impactful initiatives across Loudoun. We are so fortunate to have her leading WGB into our next phase of growth! Read more here. |

To celebrate Mother's Day, Salesforce collected food donations and prepared 100 snack packs for families referred to our boutique. This initiative becomes especially important when classes aren't in session as snack packs can fill in for school-provided meals during breaks. What a great way to pay tribute to local moms and caregivers! |

For their comprehensive efforts throughout May, this issue's volunteer spotlight is on Prologis! During their first month with WGB, Prologis volunteered to help set up for Cinco, returned a couple weeks later with a larger regional group to participate in their company-wide Impact Day, purchased much-needed items off our Amazon wish list, and made an additional $1,000 donation to support our work. We can't wait to see this new partnership continue to grow!
