Helping Women and Children in Crisis by Distributing Clothing and Other Essentials at No Cost |

Our hearts are full and spirits are high reliving our 7th annual Women's Empowerment Luncheon sponsored by M&T Bank! It is always so uplifting being amongst hundreds of innovative and influential pioneering women across various industries raising funds and awareness for our work around the community.
With the help of our attendees and sponsors, the event raised an unprecedented $171,000 for our crisis support and economic development resources! Thank you so much to everyone who plays a part in making this event increasingly successful year after year! |

We celebrated a special Wall-Breaking Ceremony, marking the start of our bold expansion to double our space to 26,000 square feet! This next chapter will allow us to welcome more women and children through our doors, expand our vital services, and create a collaborative nonprofit hub designed to lift families up and strengthen our community. With this expansion, we’re building more than space — we’re building hope.

It was a splendid evening recognizing the achievements of numerous local organizations, and we are excited to continue extending the impact of our programs into Prince William County. |

The Providencia Group returned to facilitate another interactive and informative training session at WGB this month. We invited referral partners and staff to learn about motivational interviewing, empathetic listening, acknowledging personal biases (but keeping them from influencing our interactions with clients), and incorporating new soft skills to provide the best care possible to the diverse populations we serve. |

Please join us in welcoming new Board Member Nicole Williams! Through volunteering with QTS Data Centers, Nicole learned about our mission and saw first-hand how our client-centered approach emphasizes quality and dignity. Her personal values of integrity, empathy, trust, and respect perfectly align with the values woven into our work. We know Nicole's communication and storytelling skills will make her a great ambassador for WGB!
