WGB was honored to accept the Nonprofit Achievement Award at the annual Roots & Legacies Gala! It was a privilege to be recognized alongside Philanthropist of the Year Carol Barbe and Changemaker of the Year J. Hamilton Lambert.

This award isn’t just for us — it belongs to everyone who makes WGB possible. To our amazing volunteers, who give their time, energy, and hearts so selflessly. To our nonprofit partners, who collaborate with us to meet the needs of women and children in crisis. And most importantly, to the women and families we serve— this award is for you.

WGB also received our very first endowment of $10,000, generously sponsored by Dewberry, laying the foundation for sustainability and growth as we continue to empower lives.

We'd like to extend our gratitude to the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties for this special award and for all they do to support our community!

We were pleased to host our annual Shop with Honor event to show appreciation for our nation's heroes and their families. With the help of our volunteers and event sponsors BAE Systems and Highlight, we provided fall/winter clothing items to over 200 women and children!

A special thank you to exhibitors Virginia Department of Veterans Services and Easterseals for joining us and sharing helpful resources for our military families.

Join us for an evening of holiday cheer! We invite kids (plus family and friends) to bring a gift donation and experience the joy of giving back; plus take a tour of WGB, assemble a snack pack, and enjoy some fun holiday games and crafts! Family photos will also be available for $20 (a little reindeer told us Santa will be making an appearance!).

Recommended donations include new unopened toys for toddlers to teens; and $25 gift cards to Target, Walmart, Amazon, Sephora, and Ulta.

Thank you to Anthem Health Keepers for helping us get the boutique festively decorated in the holiday spirit! Our volunteers' care and passion shine through in their exceptional work, giving that extra special touch that our clients love about the WGB experience.
