We were excited to welcome back NBC4's Shawn Yancy (L) as our event emcee, and honored to have Washington Commanders radio broadcaster Julie Donaldson (R) as our inspiring keynote speaker. |
| We had a wonderful time celebrating International Women's Day with our 6th annual Women's Empowerment Luncheon, generously sponsored by M&T Bank. Influential trailblazing women from a diverse variety of backgrounds and industries were invited to join us for a fun and uplifting opportunity to gather, connect, and hear about the impact Women Giving Back has on the community.
The event raised an astounding $171,000, but more importantly raised awareness about the needs we meet and how attendees can get involved. |

We had the pleasure of meeting the Gratitude Ladies, a giving circle of women who team up to support local non-profits. They gather four times a year to nominate, discuss, and select organizations to donate to. |
Susan Surkamp, a WGB volunteer, nominated Women Giving Back which led to us being selected as the beneficiary for the Gratitude Ladies' first 2024 session! Not only did they donate a generous amount of funds, more members are eager to volunteer with us as well. Thank you Ladies! |

Our Volunteer Engagement Specialist Lisa met some of the Gratitude Ladies and accepted their generous donation on WGB's behalf. |
