The July heat was no match for the warm atmosphere of our fundraiser at Vienna Vintner last week! We had a lovely afternoon discussing our work over sips of wine with community members, garnering support for the families in crisis we serve.

Thank you to our gracious host for putting on a fun event and generously donating a portion of the day's sales to WGB's programs!

Our Back to School inventory got a huge boost from Eagle Scout Troop 160 who hosted a donation drive and collected 260 new backpacks on behalf of WGB! We salute these young leaders' tremendous work and dedication to helping the next generation succeed.

7x24 Exchange DC Chapter also supported our Back to School efforts by once again sponsoring school supplies and volunteering their time to pack them all for distribution. Thanks to their help, we are ready and excited for families to shop for their students next month!

City Girls Who Walk DC selected WGB for their Cause of the Month, organizing a charity walk around Navy Yard on a beautiful Sunday morning. Participants were encouraged to bring clothing donations as well as contribute to fundraising efforts. What an inspiring display of women supporting women!

We're in the final push for our Summer WIPEout drive! Help us reach our goal to make sure our Diaper Pantry can continue to provide healthcare essentials to babies in need. Your support is crucial as we prepare for a scheduled pause in distribution from our main diaper supplier next month.

Brighton's Handbag Trade-In is back!

The perfect bag completes a confidence-boosting outfit while keeping you organized on the go. That's why we have a whole section in our boutique dedicated to purses! We want WGB clients to walk out the door fully ready to take on what's next — whether that's acing an interview, running errands, or taking the kids to soccer practice.

Save the date! Our annual Tee Off for WGB fundraiser is October 16th!

Get the whole team together and join us at Topgolf One Loudoun for a great time supporting a great cause. Reserve a bay spot to practice your swing, or just come network, socialize, and enjoy some food and drinks on the open-air terrace. We will be kicking off our fall silent auction with items on display at the event.

Our volunteer group of the month is Salesforce! We are so appreciative of all the different ways they have gotten involved with our organization over the past month as their "Connect for Good" campaign honoree:

Spending time in our warehouse sorting and hanging clothes
Inviting us to their McLean office to share our mission and programs with supporters old and new
Collecting clothing donations to help restock our boutique
Raising funds to support our work, and doubling their impact through corporate match donations
