As we enjoy these summer months, WGB is also looking ahead to Back to School time. Our goal is to provide each school-aged child with a new pair of shoes as well as new socks and underwear. In addition, we are asking for donations of new, good quality backpacks that can withstand the wear and tear of everyday use throughout the schoolyear. This year we are aiming to prepare 600 backpacks! Please consider purchasing items off our Amazon wish list below, or drop off items during our scheduled donation times from now through July 13th.

Between our boutique shopping, Bags-to-Go, and Community Distribution Partners, we go through a lot of clothes! If you are looking to give any of your wardrobe items a second life, consider donating them to our inventory for use in our various clothing assistance programs. Check our donation schedule to drop off goods at our facility or one of our partner drop-off locations. |

The National Diaper Bank Network recently conducted a study reviewing and updating the country's diaper need, which has increased in the past decade. Diapers are a childcare essential, but their cost often cuts into a family's funds for other necessities such as food and utilities. Diaper need can also affect a caregiver's availability to work and have a negative impact on mental health. WGB strives to help alleviate this need in our community through our diaper pantry, where parents can receive supplies monthly to keep their children clean, dry, and healthy. | |

Abaco Strategy conducted a diaper drive for their day of service and brought us a huge delivery of packaged diapers this month. Our volunteers got a good workout bringing in all the boxes! |

We had a special boutique day this month that featured an outdoor extravaganza with fun activities for the kids while moms shopped. Thank you to all the organizations who contributed to the event, especially our sponsors-- the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties, Loudoun Elks Lodge, and the Peterson Family Foundation. Of course, this event would not have been possible without our spirited volunteers running the activity stations!

| Distribution Partner Spotlight |
Infinite Legacy is a nonprofit organ procurement organization serving people in Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. They facilitate organ, eye, and tissue donation and educate the community about the importance of registering as a donor. Infinite Legacy hosted their "Summers in Seven Corners" block party on May 20th. They provided food, health screenings, and activities for kids. We were able to supplement their event with approximately 2,800 articles of women's, children's, and men's clothing. Thank you for partnering with us! |

Save the date! Our annual TopGolf event will be held on Wednesday, October 11th. Reserve a bay spot to practice your swing, or just come socialize, network, and enjoy some food and drinks with us! Our online silent auction will also be back, offering lots of fun items and experiences to bid on. 100% of the proceeds go directly to WGB. |
