August was an exciting month! We had plenty of volunteer groups and activities around the warehouse and boutique. We were able to serve over 700 women and children with clothing throughout this month!

A HUGE thank you to Gamestop for helping WGB with a clothing sort and by assembling two large shelving units for our storage area! We are so thankful for your hard work!

Every year we work closely with Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William County school districts and social service agency partners to ensure their children have access to the items they need most, empowering them to thrive in and out of the classroom. We would like to thank all our community members and businesses who supported our recent Back to School Supply Drive to ease the burden off families who are struggling. This was our most successful back to school drive yet, and with the overwhelming community support this year, we were able to equip 758 students in need.

IREM Donates $14,000 Proceeds to WGB!

We are so thankful to our friends at the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Northern Virginia Chapter 77 for highlighting WGB during their annual Summer Soiree en blanc! The generous donation of $14,000 will assist WGB in keeping our doors open to serve the vulnerable women and children in our community. Thank you for your partnership and support!

Reston Chamber Hosts Kit-Packing Event for Afghan Refugees

Thank you to the Reston Chamber Community Engagement Council for hosting a kit-packing event for Afghan refugee infants and young children including newborn items, toys, and socks. WGB distributed the kits to Afghan refugees in the DC area!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Since January 2022, we've seen a 35% increase in diaper need. Paired with the rise in costs for diapers and the formula shortage, we are seeing a drastic need in our community. We could use your help replenishing our pantry's size 5 and 6 diapers and wipes.
