WGB Featured in Leesburg Lifestyle Magazine

Article by Melinda Gipson

One Saturday, Lisa Geraci Rigoni and her daughter, Marinna, were helping out at Women Giving Back’s Sterling boutique—a warehouse full of clothes, shoes and accessories ingenuously displayed as in an every-day discount department store. Huge thank you to Cristina Sindhu for her idea to take on the purse wall project to better display our purse options for the women we serve and David Blahuta for leading the display-set up!

Now we will be able to put more purses on display in an efficient way. Thanks also to Cindy Dywer for arranging to get the grids donated and Lisa McGrail for painting the framing wood for the project.

BeBalanced Leesburg Donates to WGB

Our partner, Jan at the BeBalanced Hormone Weight Loss Center in Leesburg presented WGB a $1,400 check to our Board Member, Eve Weber. The donation was 10% of proceeds from their first month in business.  The center is also serving as a collection point for women to donate clothing after losing weight on the BeBalanced program.

Girl Scouts Complete Their Silver Awards at WGB

Ann Marie and Morgan completed their Girl Scout Silver Awards at WGB by providing fall crafts for the kids that shop at the boutique in addition to painting a mural wall. Their projects will continue to benefit WGB, but the process and life lessons learned by the girls were incredibly valuable.
